Pathology Interest Group (PIG)

Mission and Club Description:
The EVMS Pathology Interest Group (PIG) provides an introduction to the field of pathology as well as academic and advising resources for students interested in pathology careers. The PIG is student-run and advised by EVMS pathology faculty and interfaces with hospital and community faculty members. Students in all programs at EVMS are welcome to become members of the PIG.

Additional goals include:
- Provide early exposure to pathology during the preclinical years
- Provide a forum through which fellow students can share ideas and interests within pathology
- Help students identify mentors in pathology 
- Organize resources available to students with respect to education and residency
- Help guide students through the residency application process/job search process
- Track alumni in the field of pathology and maintain communication
