About
NEST (Norfolk Emergency Shelter Team) is a community organization that provides shelter and food for the homeless during the winter months. EVMS hosts one week during each season, traditionally using St. Andrew's Church on Princess Anne Rd as a shelter site. Students and faculty work together to provide dinner, breakfast, and bag lunches for approximately 65 overnight guests. Student volunteers organize the event, cook and serve meals, and staff the shelter.
